Peter Huang is our senior partner, and the founder and managing partner of Peter Huang & Richard since its inception in 1990. He started his legal practice in 1982 and has extensive experience and expertise in various areas of the law, but most notably in Intellectual Property Law, Company Law and Estate matters.
Richard Huang joined Peter Huang & Associates in 1990 and was admitted as a partner, whereby the firm adopted its present name – Peter Huang & Richard. He has since led the firm’s litigation department to new heights. Richard believes in maintaining strong values and courtesy while ensuring that all his clients get the best outcomes available.
Helen Huang leads the firm’s Intellectual Property team, and is experienced with all stages of IP legal work. She aims to help a wide portfolio of clients, from SMEs to MNCs, protect their valuable IP through advice, registration and enforcement. Her previous experience in the education, market & social research and finance sectors adds value to understanding her clients. Helen is warm, efficient and has an eye for detail.
Tan How Siang is a dedicated legal advocate with expertise spanning civil litigation, including companies’ law, contract law, family law, intellectual property laws, land law, banking laws, bankruptcy laws, trust, and equity. He is also experienced in conveyancing and corporate agreement reviews.
Known for his client-centered approach, Tan combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and open communication to deliver tailored solutions. His proactive problem-solving, precision, and commitment to trust-based relationships ensure clients receive reliable and practical legal representation.
Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University in 2013 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2017. Her experience spans across various fields of corporate and commercial law, including mergers & acquisitions, intellectual property law, data privacy law and competition law.
Michelle is an experienced litigator, and has dealt with a broad range of civil disputes. She is notably well-versed in family and estate matters, having handled numerous sophisticated & intricate family cases. She takes a hands-on approach and ensures that she delivers on quality while maintaining a human-centric approach to her work.
Zhen Yu is warm and helpful to clients and believes in building long-term professional relationships. She has an eye for detail and aims to provide quality and responsive legal advice and services.
Isaac graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Cardiff University in 2020. He then pursued the Bar Training Course in Cardiff and was called to the Bar of England and Wales at Middle Temple in 2021. He aims to utilise his experiences to provide exceptional services to his clients and to build long lasting bridges.
Chan Sai Mun graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from theUniversity of London in 2019. He then pursued the Certificate of Legal Practice and was called to the High Court of Malaya in 2023. His previous experience in Banking and Finance law, which includes but is not limited to drafting legal agreements, legal write-ups, and opinions, serves to elevate his understanding towards his clients. At the moment, his expertise lies in the practice areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, including but not limited to drafting and reviewing contractual agreements, which facilitates him to navigate the intricacies of Corporate & Commercial Law.

Amirrul Eiman (Po) was involved in an array of matters, including civil litigation, corporate law, banking and finance, as well as Islamic finance transactions. He has represented a broad range of clients, including statutory bodies, co-operative societies, government-linked companies, and multinational corporations, particularly in projects and infrastructure matters within the railway, energy, technology, and property development sectors.
Po also has experience in drafting commercial agreements, such as joint venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements, property development agreements, investment agreements, and instruments related to the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of G2G projects, all tailored to meet the distinct needs of each client. He has also had the privilege of assisting in the drafting of legislative instruments concerning tax exemptions, in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia. Po is also involved in Islamic finance, including Sukuk programme establishment, one of which led to the award of Finance Deal of the Year 2024 by Asian Legal Business.
